CHARITY BENEFITS FROM FREDERICK
Maryland's Team In Training joined the Frederick Running Festival for the first time this year and it was a huge success.
Nearly 80 purple-clad TNT runners and walkers participated in the Marathon and Half Marathon, raising more than $157,000 (and counting) to help support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Scores of TNT friends and family members could be seen cheering on all of the runners and walkers along the race route and at the finish line.
Whether you were on the Team or not, you can still make a difference and earn some great incentives. Marathon For a Cure forms, found in your Runner Information Booklet can still be submitted in to the Chapter along with funds raised.
TNT is now recruiting for its Fall season, which includes the Baltimore Running Festival's Marathon, Half-Marathon and Team Relay, so why not go for the Maryland Double and change lives...starting with your own. For more information about how to join the Team, please give us a call at 410-527-0220 or visit TNT's web site at www.teamintraining.org/md.
