Twilight 5K

The Gazette Twilight 5K Race is open to participants of all ages.  Start Time will be 7pm, on Saturday, May 2nd.  Entries will be accepted until the field is filled to 500 runners.

Course Description

The Gazette Twilight 5K will start and end at the Frederick Fairgrounds.  The course will include water stops at the 1- and 2-mile markers.  

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be on Saturday, May 2nd from 11:00am - 6:30pm at the Frederick Fairgrounds. All runners are required to pick up their bib race number and other important information during this time.

• All registered participants will receive bib numbers that must be worn on race day.
• Please fill in the necessary medical and emergency contact information on the back of the bib number with a pen or waterproof marker.
• Please do not alter the bib in any way.
• The bib must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race.  Make sure your bib number is clearly visible for the race photographers.
• Bib numbers are non-transferable and must be worn by the registrant to whom it has been assigned.

Runners who are not able to pick up their packets in person must make arrangements for a representative to pick up their packets. Your representative must present a signed authorization from you in order to claim your packet and premium.

The Nitty Gritty

The following items are not permitted on the course: pets, skateboards, bicycles, roller blades, baby joggers and any other type of vehicle (other than official Marathon vehicles). These regulations are for your safety and the safety of the other participants in the race. The Frederick Marathon reserves the right to disqualify and remove anyone from the course who has any of the above items.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each 5-year age group from 15 & under, 16-19, 20-24 then through 70 & over.  Awards must be claimed during the awards ceremony. Awards will not be mailed.

Race Premiums

Participants in the TWILIGHT 5K will receive a short sleeve cotton T-shirt.  The shirts are unisex sized.  A photo is below.

Fit Guide Size Chest (inches) Small 34-36" Medium 38-40" Large 42-44" X-large 46-48" 2X-large 50-52" Will fit average body types. Not too loose, not too tight, just your standard Tee.
