NEW FOR 2010. Active has implemented some new measures that will help protect both the event and their registrants. Below is a screenshot of the waiver page, requiring a registrant to type in their name—which serves as a form of an electronic signature. The registrant should be able to click in the box to type. If space allows, you may register for events during the Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, May 2nd. There will be no race day registration or Packet Pick Up on Sunday.
Receive a $5 discount on your registration fees if you sign up for the Marathon or Half-Marathon and the Twilight 5K. You must register for both events online at the same time to receive the discount.
Receive special discounts if you sign up to run an event during both the Frederick and Baltimore Running Festivals. We double dog dare you to try both! Rates are outlined below, but you must sign up for both events at the same time online when you register for Frederick. to receive the discount. Discount is built in to online price. Finishers fo both races to earn the GIANT Maryland Double Medal.

RUNNERS INSTRUCTION BOOKLET

Runners will hava access to a Runner's Instruction booklet that will be available online by April 15. The booklet incudes all the important information you need as you prepare for race day. It will answer many of your questions and will describe the Who, What, When and Where for all of the activities related to your event. We ask that you read the ENTIRE BOOKLET as it will ease some of your race day anxiety and allow you to focus your attention on running the event. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

DEFERMENT AND DOWNGRADE PROCEDURES

We all know that injuries often arise during training after we have registered for a race. The Frederick Running Festival has different options should this happen to you. We ask that you make your decision as early as you can to avoid issues and possible loss of fees.

DEFERMENT
If you become injured and cannot participate in the 2009 CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Frederick Running Festival in any capacity, you may defer your race entry until 2010. There is a $25 processing fee to do so. To take advantage of this offer, please mail a note stating your request along with a check payable to the Frederick Running Festival to the address listed at the bottom of this page. This process cannot be completed via email or phone as we need written confirmation and payment to process your request. In early 2010, you will receive a customized race application that you must return to the event headquarters to complete the process. ALL DEFERMENT REQUESTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITH PAYMENT BY APRIL 20th.

DOWNGRADE
If you cannot complete the distance you registered for but would still like to participate in the Frederick Running Festival, you may downgrade to a lesser distance. You will not be given a refund for the difference in entry fee. To do so, please call (410.605.9381) or email (lthompson@corrigansports.com ) your request and we will make the change in the system. Your new race confirmation will be listed on our online confirmation page. We encourage you to make this decision early as possible as we cannot add runners to an event once its capacity is reached.

The Frederick Running Festival does not allow refunds or transfers of any entry fee.
