Accordingly, any net proceeds of these events will be donated to local charities, including The United Way of Frederick County.

The Frederick Marathon encourages regular physical activity as a crucial element of a healthy lifestyle through training programs, fitness activities, and education, culminating in an annual weekend of road races and fitness activities for athletes of all abilities. We actively promote the Frederick community as a desirable place to live, work, and run.

While the Frederick Marathon Weekend continues to broaden community cooperation and participation, we strive to bring national recognition to our races. Our goal is to make the Frederick Marathon a world-class event, drawing athletes of all abilities from around the world without excluding athletes from around the block.
